Lohbekpark Daycare Center - Lokstedt

Our Lohbekpark daycare center has a family-like atmosphere and can accommodate a total of about 65 children. They are divided into a nursery group, an elementary group, and a family group (mixed ages). In the infant group, we care for about 15 children up to age 3, while the preschool group cares for a total of about 25 children between the ages of 3 and 6. The size of the mixed-age group varies depending on the age distribution of the children and ranges from 15 to 25 children.

Our Lohbekpark daycare center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. With these hours, we aim to provide families with a reliable routine and offer children a place where they can feel safe and secure throughout the day.

At the Lohbekpark Daycare Center, we take a holistic approach that combines a connection to nature, mindfulness, and participation. We aim to create a space where children can explore the world with curiosity, contribute their own ideas, and develop at their own pace.

Mornings at our Lohbekpark daycare center begin calmly and gently. Starting at 7:00 a.m., we welcome the children and give them time to settle in at their own pace during free play. Around 9:00 a.m., everyone gathers for morning circle to start the day together.

We often find ourselves drawn outdoors: to our green outdoor area or to nearby parks, where the children can experience nature with all their senses. After a warm lunch together, we have a rest period that allows the children to relax and recharge for the afternoon.

Later, creative activities, group play, and exciting projects encourage children to try new things and strengthen their sense of community. Between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., we spend our core time together, focusing on learning, exploring, and growing. After that, the day winds down individually, depending on pickup times.

The daycare center is located in Lokstedt at Lohkoppelweg 35b, 22529 Hamburg, in the heart of Lokstedt, right next to the lush Lohbekpark. Thanks to our location in western Hamburg, we are nestled in a family-friendly neighborhood that offers children plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and discover.

Very good: The daycare center is located just about 300 m from the Hagenbecks Tierpark subway station (U2)—which is about a 4-minute walk. Right outside the door is also the Lohkoppelweg bus stop, which is served by bus lines 181 and 5, among others. Its central location in Lokstedt thus ensures excellent public transportation access.
