Treudelberg Daycare Center - Lemsahl-Mellingstedt

There are a total of 6 groups: 3 nursery groups (for children under 3 years old), 2 preschool groups (for children ages 3 and up until they start school), and one family group (mixed ages). In a nursery group, approximately 15 children are typically cared for by several qualified staff members, while an elementary group consists of about 25 children. The size of the family group depends entirely on the age range of the children and ranges from about 15 to 25 children. These manageable group sizes allow us to create a family-like atmosphere in which each child can be supported and guided individually.

Our Treudelberg daycare center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. With these family-friendly hours, we aim to ease the burden on parents and provide children with reliable, safe care throughout the day.

The day at our Treudelberg daycare center begins gently and calmly. Starting at 7:00 a.m., we warmly welcome the children and give them space during free play to settle in at their own pace. By 9:00 a.m. at the latest, all the children are together, and we begin with a morning circle that sets the tone for the day ahead.

After that, we usually head outdoors: to our nature-filled outdoor area or to the green surroundings of Lemsahl-Mellingstedt, where the children can experience nature with all their senses. After a freshly cooked lunch, there’s a restful nap time during which the children can recharge their energy for the rest of the day.

In the afternoon, creative activities, group play, and exciting projects invite children to discover new things and experience a sense of community. All children are with us between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.—we make the most of this core time to learn, explore, and grow together. After that, the day winds down individually, depending on pickup time.

The daycare center is located in Lemsahl-Mellingstedt in northern Hamburg, at Lemsahler Landstraße 80, 22397 Hamburg. Specifically, it’s located in the building that once housed “Kröger’s Gasthaus,” which has been lovingly renovated. Right next door, there are many wonderful opportunities to explore nature.

The Treudelberg daycare center has a bus stop right outside its door, providing excellent access to public transportation. Bus lines 176 and 276 not only take you to surrounding areas such as Sasel, Duvenstedt, and Bergstedt, but also to Wentzelplatz (S1) and Ohlstedt (U1).

This means that at least 5 hours of care per day, including a hot lunch, are guaranteed for all children starting on their first birthday, regardless of whether their parents work.
