Villa Blumenfeld Daycare Center - Blankenese

At the Villa Blumenfeld daycare center, there are approximately 95 children are cared for. The daycare center has 2 infant groups (for children from about 10 months to 3 years old) and 3 elementary groups (for children ages 3 to 6). Each nursery group cares for 15 children, and each elementary group cares for approximately 20–25 children, depending on the available space.

Our Villa Blumenfeld daycare center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. With these family-friendly hours, we provide flexibility for working parents and offer reliable care for children ages 0–6 throughout the entire workday.

The day at our Villa Blumenfeld daycare center begins gently and warmly: Starting at 7:00 a.m., we welcome the children and give them the opportunity to settle in at their own pace during free play. By 9:00 a.m. at the latest, all the children are together—and then we start the day with our morning circle.

Afterward, we’re often drawn out into nature: to the villa’s garden or the green surroundings of Blankenese, where the children play, explore, and experience their environment with all their senses. A freshly prepared lunch is followed by a time of rest and relaxation.

In the afternoon, creative activities, play opportunities, and exciting projects invite children to try new things and experience a sense of community. Our core hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—we make the most of this time to learn, discover, and grow together. After that, the day winds down individually, depending on pickup times.

The daycare center is located in a beautiful old, but recently renovated, Art Nouveau villa at Erik-Blumenfeld-Platz 13, 22587 Hamburg (Blankenese). This location is right next to the train station in Blankenese and is therefore very central. Despite its central location, the villa offers a quiet, green environment for the children thanks to its spacious, natural garden.

Villa Blumenfeld is located right next to the Blankenese S-Bahn station (lines S1/S11), providing direct access to public transportation. Several bus routes also stop at the Blankenese station, making the daycare center easily accessible for parents in the surrounding area.
