Mühlenhof Daycare Center - Wandsbek

At the Stadtküken Mühlenhof Daycare Center, a total of about 75 children are cared for in two infant groups and two preschool groups. Each nursery group cares for 15 children (ages approximately 10 months to 3 years), and each preschool group cares for approximately 20–25 children (ages approximately 3 to 6 years).

Our daycare center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thanks to these family-friendly hours, we offer working parents a great deal of flexibility and childcare throughout the entire workday.

Our day begins calmly and mindfully: Starting at 7:00 a.m., we warmly welcome the children to our Mühlenhof daycare center. During a relaxed free-play period, they can settle in at their own pace. By 9:00 a.m. at the latest, all the children are here—and we start the day together with a morning circle to set the tone for the day. After that, we usually head outside: to our spacious outdoor area or to the nearby botanical garden, where the children can experience and discover nature with all their senses. After a fresh, healthy lunch, there’s a time for rest and relaxation. In the afternoon, the children have the freedom to let their creativity run wild, play, or take part in exciting projects. All children are at the daycare center between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.—we use this core time to experience, learn, and grow together. After that, the day winds down individually, depending on pickup times.
